Director, Physical Therapy

Mr. Hutchins graduated from University of Oklahoma in 1971. Shortly thereafter he moved to St. Petersburg where he opened the state’s first hospital-based fitness center. In 1987 he opened Therapy and Sports Center offering a variety of fitness programs in addition to physical therapy.

In 2007 he received his certification in the McKenzie Method- Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. According to the McKenzie Institute International (www.mckenziemdt.org) this is, “a philosophy of active patient involvement and education…used all over the world for back, neck and extremity problems”. Mr. Hutchins is the only MDT certified therapist in St. Petersburg and is one of only 37 in the state of Florida.

Physical Therapist

Graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Saint Augustine in 2010. Being the son of Therapy and Sports Center’s Director and Founder, Richard Hutchins, Spencer has had a lifetime of experience though he is just begining his career as a physical therapist. In addition, Spencer gained tremendous knowledge about sports injuries and conditions while playing baseball with Saint Leo University as an undergraduate.

Bruce Snook, ATC

Bruce Snook, ATC

Athletic Trainer

Graduated from the Syracuse University in 2001 with a degree in Sports Medicine. He went on to get his certification in Athletic Training and has been working at Therapy and Sports Center since 2002. Bruce also serves as the trainer for our local Canterbury High School’s football team.
